OK, only those of you who were at the recording of the Skeptics Guide to the Universe are immortal (especially Joe, who got up on stage). That episode has now been posted. (Actually it was posted onĀ August 22, but I’m way behind in my podcast listening.) Click the image below or the link above to hear it.

Thanks to all our members, and what’s next
First, let me thank everyone who came to LI-CON. I hope (and believe) that you all had a good time.
If you couldn’t make Paul Levinson’s concert, you can still hear him! Just watch:
I’d love to announce our next convention, but we won’t actually have any firm plans until at least late September.
Would you like to become part of the action? ICON, our parent company, is always looking for help. If you feel that you can spend some time working on our events–not just LI-CON, but anything that we do–please email info@iconsf.org.
Coming next week: I finally announce the winner of the free Medieval Times passes.
The Music of Paul Levinson: Hear it Live
Even if you can’t be at LI-CON on Saturday night, you can still listen to Paul’s concert. Just visit Paul’s YouTube channel:
https://www.youtube.com/user/PLev20062006
He will be streaming his concert live!
(It will definitely be more fun if you come listen in person, though.)
Middlehaven LARP at LI-CON
We’re very happy to announce that Middlehaven will be hosting a LARP at LI-CON 2!
Mackenzie Reide
LI-CON is happy to announce that writer and engineer Mackenzie Reide will be appearing at LI-CON.
New, improved schedule
Our schedule is now hosted at sched.org. This means that you can check if from almost any device, and that if you use the Sched app you will always see the latest schedule, including any last-minute changes. You can also use Sched to find when a particular person will be appearing (click on “Speakers”). It’s pretty slick, and we hope you’ll like it.
LI-CON 2 Schedule Posted
Thanks to implausibly hard work by our Head of Programming, Heather Dawn, the schedule is posted! Now you can plan your exciting and fun weekend at LI-CON.
Also, when you see Heather at the con, thank her. This really was a lot of work.
Also thanks to Marketing Maven Katrina for putting it into the published format.
Also, thanks to everyone in Programming for getting this all set up.
See you at the con!
We’re on the radio!
Listen to the LI-CON team on Destinies-the Voice of Science Fiction. We’ll be interviewed by host Howard Margolin on WUSB Friday, Aug 7 at 11:30 pm. You can listen to the live stream at www.usb.fm.
Then the next day, we’ll be on WHPC as guests during Arash Zandieh’s Extreme Rock show, between 2:00 and 3:00 pm. That stream is here: www.ncc.edu/studentlife/whpcradiostation/default.shtml. (Click on the streaming link at the left.)
Give us a listen!
Kristen Nelson
Voice actor and singer Kristen Nelson returns for LI-CON 2. Everyone who knows Kristen will be delighted, and all you poor, deprived folk who haven’t yet had the pleasure have something new to look forward to!
See you in 10 days.
Avalon: Now available on Long Island
Yes, the mythical isle normally found off the coast of England, legendary resting place of King Arthur, will be present for weekend in Ronkonkoma! If you’ve ever wanted to be a knight, or a dragon, this is your chance–the Kingdom of Avalon will seize a small territory (table) at LI-CON.
