LI-CON 2 will be held at the Clarion Hotel and Conference Center in Ronkonkoma, New York. The hotel is in western Suffolk County, only minutes from MacArthur Airport. Among its advantages are free Internet access for guests, flat screen TV in every room, and a fitness center.
LI-CON room rates are no longer available. You can still call the hotel or reserve through Clarion’s web site, but you will pay the standard rates if rooms are vacant.
The Clarion has a full in-house restaurant as well as room service.
If you are staying at the Clarion, their shuttle service will pick you up (and drop you off) at MacArthur Airport, the Long Island Rail Road Ronkonkoma station, or the Port Jefferson Ferry. The hotel is also on three county bus routes.

Does that mean I have to stay 2 – 31st or can I do just one night of the 29th into the 30th?

I am registered but live in the area, is it mandatory to stay at the hotel to attend the convention?

It is not mandatory but it is convenient if you dont live like right next door, because the con is IN the hotel i believe.

Absolutely right, Krystal. We certainly encourage anyone who wants to maximize the fun to stay at the hotel, especially if you plan on having adult beverages at a party. It is not, however, required. (The LIRR is right next door and a Nassau County bus runs right past the hotel if you want to take public transportation home.)
